This state is located in the south-southern geopolitical zone of Nigeria, the capital city is Akwa Ibom is Uyo. This state takes the number four spot on this top list of oil producing state in Nigeria with a GDP of $11,179. The state comprises of the Efik, Ibibio, anang, oron ethnic groups.

It is the third richest state in the region with a GDP of $16,749. Delta State has a population of over 4 million people.
